HOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY PILGRIMAGE
The Feast of the Assumption of Mary is the most significant annual liturgical celebration held at the House of the Virgin Mary on Mount Koressos near Selçuk. Both journeys follow the same sacred route through the afternoon, with the second continuing into Ancient Ephesus.

The complete pilgrimage route with the House of the Virgin Mary, Holy Mass, Basilica of St. John, Temple of Artemis and Aegean lunch.
Return to Kuşadası after lunch.

The complete pilgrimage route followed by an exploration of Ancient Ephesus, including the Celsus Library, Great Theatre and Church of Mary.

THE PILGRIMAGE ROUTE
The journeys travel together until the afternoon, then follow one of two endings.
Meet your guide and driver at Kuşadası Port or your Kuşadası hotel for departure.
Travel 30 km towards Mount Koressos and the sanctuary of the House of the Virgin Mary.
Enter the stone chapel to pray or light a candle, visit the three sacred springs and leave a prayer petition at the Wishing Wall. Coffee break and preparation for Mass follow.
Attend High Mass at the main outdoor altar, celebrated in English, Italian and Turkish.
Visit the 6th-century Basilica of St. John and the remaining column of the Temple of Artemis.
Enjoy Aegean cold mezze, grilled köfte or chicken, local greens and one beverage at a garden restaurant in the traditional handicraft centre.

Yes. Entrance fees to the sites and museums in the itinerary, lunch with one beverage and complimentary water are included.
Light clothing, a broad-brimmed hat and a light shoulder covering are recommended. Shoulder covering is required for the sanctuary and Mass.
